Common Reactor is an online music publication started in February 2012 and based in the New York/New Jersey area, but features writers and web masters contributing throughout North America. You'll expect to read the latest original content and music criticism with multiple album reviews, track reviews, feature columns, countdown lists, live coverage, and news roundup all week long. We cover an array of genres here, mainly directed at the underground music of today and yesterday, including but not limited to indie rock , electronica, alternative, folk, hip-hop, pop, and everything in-between. As well as focusing on current music, we also touch base on the best of music from the past 50 years too through retrospective look-backs or selected feature stories.

Currently, we maintain a scheduled release format for our content. Although the site is subjected to change this schedule around, Common Reactor's content schedule follows as so:
Monday: Album Review / List (every other week)
Tuesday: Track Review
Wednesday: Album Review
Thursday: Track Review
Friday: Album Review / Weekly News Roundup
Saturday/Sunday: Classic Album Review / Column (every other week)
There are other pieces of content that may trickle into the days randomly throughout the weeks, including Live Reviews or Video content, so watch out for those too.

Lastly for now, we'd also like to point out that we follow the grading system as far as review scoring goes. Here's how the grading system works for us, just so it's known for future reference:
A
A-
- A fantastic example of how music should be made. Absolutely listen to this, or miss out on something really great.
B+
B
B-
- Generally well-received. Very good music, but may be lacking a certain something to make it really stand out.
C+
C
C-
- Average, solid, and straight-to-the-point. Nothing particularly special about it and may still be worth checking out, but know there may be issues with it.
D+
D
D-
- Below average and disappointing. This is for the biggest fans only, as it's mostly a let down for anyone else.
F
- Pretty simple: avoid at all costs. Something really went wrong if it gets this rating. You'll most likely regret listening to it in the first place.
A
A-
B+
= High Grade Review
